A solo Egyptian Drag Cabaret act, blending Egyptian Queer artists with Egyptian political figures, particularly those running for president in the January 25th revolution and, who were imprisoned, expelled, or placed under house arrest.
NÜT Dance Company reflect on how cabaret featured the icons of singing, bellydance, ballroom dance and more in Egypt, a country deeply ingrained in social and religious conservatism and how it questions the present political and social policies and empowers the LGBT community.
NÜT Dance Company was formed in 2013 and has produced over 100 cultural events/performances, creating the Breaking Walls international festival for site-specific performances in 2017 and in 2021 created Breaking Walls Dance Films.
