This hybrid performance challenges traditional notions of identity and autonomy in a world increasingly shaped by digital systems. Through interaction with Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, a satirical game of musical chairs unfolds, exposing blurred lines between free will and manipulation.
The performance probes how digital tools can augment audience experience, pushing technologies beyond intended limits. The original score, composed by Brydon Bolton, Njabulo Phungula, and Inge Beckmann, is performed live using generative and live-processing methods. Some parts are fixed, while others evolve in real time — echoing the dynamic relationship between machine logic and artistic freedom.
