Set in a dystopian landscape of electronic waste, this interactive theatre installation, created by two artists from Stockholm and two from DRC Congo, explores the tension between technology and human connection. Drawing on ancestral wisdom and Afrofuturist visions, it challenges digital dependency, urging audiences to rethink what it means to be fully human today.
Majula Drammeh and Joseph K. Kasau Wa Mambwe met in 2022 in Riga. With support from PACE/Nordic Exchange and the Swedish Arts Grant Committee, the duo have undertaken artistic residency work to develop What is Already There? with plans to premier the piece in Sweden in Winter 2025/26.
