Le Mouton NoirOnlineCompagnie NgorSenegal

The Black Sheep highlights challenges faced when conforming to society’s expectations at the expense of ones’ own feelings, exploring various life paths, such as self-acceptance and family relationships.

“Black sheep” doesn’t give in and draws strength from moments of pain to demonstrate his true potential. The dance solo takes the form of a theatrical piece, recounting the evolution of Mandela’s character.

In his journey, Mandela recounts the challenges he faces: audio dialogues are used to express the prejudices and stereotypes conveyed by his entourage and society. The play explores different life paths, such as self-acceptance and family relationships. Visual elements will be used throughout the play to represent the singularity of difference.
